Management is great and super helpful, they will respond almost always within 30-1hr and get a solution for any issues needed. They have installed a lot of upgrades recently, and are incredibly reasonably priced. They are also installing new security features on the doors, so thats great! We have had new carpet in both apartments and an upgraded AC unit. I have been in both a one bedroom and two and enjoyed it. Lots of parking, patios, allows pets. We have never had any pest issues or had to treat anything, even the vestibules are cleaned and swept. Always plows when it snows and laundry is on site for cheap. Great place and will continue living here for years to come.

Feb 2024 (about a year later) update: new security features on the door make the units basically impossible to get into without breaking the door down. We really love our 2 bed and our garden. Shannon, the landlord, is so kind and has been great to manage this place.

I've lived here since mid 2021 and absolutely love the landlords Shannon and Shawn. I've had terrible management in the past at other properties and they are amazing here. Shannon is always quick to respond to any concerns big or small and is happy to take care of any issues (maintenance or otherwise) we have in a timely manner. The complex itself is quiet and the campus police tend to be parked across the street or patrolling as the complex is directly across the street from UIndy. One of my concerns living in an apartment with my dog was other residents not leashing their pets. Shannon is fantastic at ensuring other tenants are following leash laws. She also provides poop bags to ensure the communal area is kept clean. Although we will soon be required to get our own wifi this is a small price to pay for a great apartment complex with management who cares. For the rent this is the most space and best quality apartment you are going to get anywhere else in the area. The space in both types of apartments is used well. Heating in the winter was able to keep up with the winter storm being -30 outside. AC in the summer works great as well. We have a window unit in the back as well as a floor untit that is connected through the wall in the living room. In the 2 bedroom you also have a small space out back with a patio and grass.

This is a great little place, especially for UIndy students. It’s so close to campus, you can even walk to class. The apartments themselves are clean and are very easy to make cozy/homey. One thing I was worried about before living here was safety, but the parking lot is really well lit at night and they’ve added cameras. I’ve never had any issues and I’ve felt safe the whole time I’ve lived here. The property manager is very responsive and has been helpful whenever I’ve needed anything.

I had never been to Indianapolis before I moved here, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Since I was about to begin school at UIndy, I wanted a complex that was going to be within walking distance of campus so I wouldn’t have to drive everyday. One thing led to another and I found out about the option of One Somerset and the roommate matching system Shannon has in place. With that being said, I think it’s fair for me to say that Shannon has been a fantastic landlord in my time living here. Every time I have contacted her about a problem, she has always been quick to respond and gets things squared away. She is also very nice and always seems like she wants to help no matter the situation! Feel free to reach out and talk to her if you’re looking for something, I think it’s a good first step in your search!

This is a great little place for any college student or just someone living on their own. Rent includes utilities except electric, but is very reasonable. I love that it is pet friendly, so that allowed me to bring my dog with me. :) Shannon and Shawn are awesome landlords and any issues that I had were resolved quickly! They are both super friendly and generally care about you!

I was past resident under the previous owner and things are much better this time. Shannon does a great job of keeping up with things and is so helpful. The apartments are pretty quite even with being pet friendly ! It is great for me because I have two dogs that like to sleep a lot.

I have had to opportunity to live at Somerset for a year and a half. I just recently moved out due to graduation :) I have lived in the 2 bedroom, and the 1 bedroom. Both apartment layouts use the space well. The apartment is also pet friendly. Shannon and Shawn are the best landlords I have ever encountered. Once you are a tenant, Shannon's office phone is connected to her cell phone so that you can reach them with any problems you need. I have always had a positive experience with maintenance, Alex, is a very sweet guy. Any other problems I had I could walk over to the office, or text Shannon. They always responded in a timely fashion, for me, she typically responds in the same hour if it is of importance. The price for the apartment given the location is affordable for college students, and cheaper than an on campus dorm or on campus apartment. Another positive to Somerset is that you only pay rent and electricity. Plus, it is walking distance to campus, and campus police still patrol the area around Somerset because it is in between College Crossings and The Lofts (both on-campus uindy apartments). The sense of community Shannon and Shawn foster at their apartment complex is awesome. Since I have lived there, they are constantly improving and upgrading things. They have repaved the parking lot, moved their leasing office into a more central location on the complex, painted the entire exterior of the complex, landscaped and planted flowers in the spring, and replaced the roof on all apartments. If I could move Somerset closer to my new job I wouldn't have moved because Shannon and Shawn are so great! Whether you are looking for a two bedroom or a one bedroom, if you are a UINDY student or someone looking to save money, this is the place for you.

I have been living at One Somerset for almost 4 months now. The apartment complex itself is relatively quiet and very close to the University of Indianapolis campus. Overall, I think it is a nice apartment with plenty of room to spread out. The AC unit is a tad bit too small for the space you have and it is only located in the bedroom. This makes it very difficult for the cool air to circulate through to the front room of the apartment. Response time from the Shannon is very quick and the maintenance team does an alright job with repairs. Some repairs have not been fixed. The residents that live here are very quiet, parking is very accessible, and the laundry facility is extremely clean. UPDATE: Maintenance quickly responded to my repairs and fixed everything within a day. I appreciate the quick response and attention to making sure residents are happy in their living arrangements.

I lived here for a year. Apartments make good use of the space, with a lot of cabinets and closets. Shannon and Shawn have done a lot in the past year to fix the place up: new roofs, improved laundry facility, new carpets in the hallways, etc. Maintenance issues were handled relatively quickly. The portable A/C unit the apartment came with wasn't really enough to cool the place down in the summer though, and closet doors were not installed very well. We had a few run-ins with mice in our apartment, and while they did eventually send a pest control person over, it wasn't until we had already handled the situation ourselves. Overall, it's a decent place to live, especially for college-age people.

I lived in here for 2 years during college and would highly recommend this place. Over the course of the 2 years many improvements were made on the property including new roofs, flooring, upgraded the community washer/dryer area, landscaping, etc. Shannon and Shawn are the landlords here and are the best landlords I’ve ever had! I moved many times in college, but this is the first place I stayed for multiple years and Shannon and Shawn are a big reason for that. Not only are they great landlords who answer texts quickly and help fix any issues, but they are also very kind and friendly people! I could name a long list of the things they’ve done for me to help make my stay at Somerset better! Thank you guys!

I have lived here for a year now and it has been great! Any problems we have had in the apartment were fixed quickly. Shannon and Shawn are super helpful and friendly. There have been multiple improvements made since I moved in, such as a new roof and repainting. It is a super close walk to UIndy’s campus and is cheaper than staying in a dorm or on campus apartment. It’s a great apartment for college students.

I have lived here for 10 months and Iâm very pleased with my experience so far. Iâm surprised that even though most of my neighbors are younger college students, that theyâre all fairly quiet. I feel safe and Shannon and Shawn really care about their residentsâ wellbeing. Since Iâve lived here, theyâve had the roofs all repaired, carpets replaced, and renovated the leasing office. Theyâve had the dryers replaced to be app operated and upgraded to online rental payments. Shannon and Shawn are prompt to respond to maintenance issues and they keep open communication with all their residents.

I moved in about a month and a half ago and most issues I have had so far has been resolved very quickly. I had to move quickly due to unforeseen circumstances at my old place and they were amazing at making sure everything went through fast for me to be moved as soon as possible. The one bedrooms are very spacious and I am looking forward to my move into a two bedroom later this year. Construction on site has caused a few minor complications, and I havenât used the laundry room here so I canât comment on that, but overall I have enjoyed my time here.

I have had a great experience living here so far! Shannon and Shawn are great people and you never have to worry about them not being available for you! They are always very prompt with communication and any potential concerns. They are here often and it’s obvious they care about their residents. It’s also very close to UIndy campus, downtown, and plenty of shopping. It is a quiet and peaceful place, I would definitely recommend living here!

I have lived here for awhile now and I love it! Shannon and Shawn are great people and anytime I have a problem (which I rarely do) they fix it as soon as possible. Theyâre always trying to find ways to improve the property that will not only make it look appealing but ways that will benefit the tenants. I have even recommended One Somerset Apartments to several of my friends. If there was one thing that I would recommend to be fixed, it would be the dryers, they tend not to dry the clothes all of the way.

We’ve been living at Somerset for 3 years and counting and definitely can’t complain. Shawn and Shannon are phenomenal and will be quick to resolve whatever issue that may arise. There are lots of parking spaces and nobody really in your business. I’d definitely recommend this apartment to a friend.

I have had a great experience living here. I was relocated to Indianapolis thru my job. I am from South Carolina and wasn’t familiar with the area. Sean and Shannon have gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Anytime I have needed anything they are quick to respond and help anyway they can. I would highly recommend living here to anyone looking for a safe and comfortable environment.

I loved living here my Junior & senior years of college. It was just the right place for what I needed. The management is incredibly friendly & willing to help with any and all of your needs. It is close to many major universities in the Indianapolis area. I highly recommend living here, especially as a college student.

I have had a one bedroom apartment for over a year now and I really have nothing to complain about! Shannon and Shawn are great people and anytime I have a problem (which I rarely do) they fix it as soon as possible. I even recommended living here to a friend and they love it as well. I would say the only thing is the dryers in the laundry room could use some work.

Going on three months of being part of the Somerset community, it has been a great place for college studetns. The managers are very nice and caring for their residents and the people around here are very nice as well. It has been a very positive place to be and very happy to be part of the community here.

Iâve lived here for a little over a year and let me start off by saying management is absolutely wonderful! They are sweet, kind and have a very positive outlook. They genuinely care about the people who live here. If you have a maintenance request they are quick to fix the problem. The two bedrooms are very spacious I have myself, boyfriend, 2 large dogs and a newborn and we have plenty of room. I donât typically use the laundry room but the few times Iâve gone in there itâs very clean and well maintained. For the amount of college kids who live here it is very quite. Somerset goes above and beyond for the residents. Highly recommend living here!!
